Terms of Service

Version 2026-09-28 · Last updated September 28, 2026

These Terms are the rules for using Entity AI. "Entity AI", "we" and "us" mean the Entity AI service and the people who run it. "You" means the person using it. By creating an account, ticking the box on the welcome screen, or using Entity AI, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Entity AI.

1. What Entity AI is

Entity AI is an AI app for studying and getting work done. It can chat with you, help you study and plan, read files, photos and your shared screen, talk with you by voice, and make images and documents. If you choose to connect them, it can also read your classes, assignments and grades from Canvas, Google Classroom, Infinite Campus, Schoology, Moodle, Brightspace and Blackboard, your Google Calendar and school Gmail, and Khan Academy progress you paste in, and it can save pages to a Notion page you pick. What you can use depends on your plan, and features may change over time.

2. Who runs Entity AI

Entity AI is run by Entity AI. You can reach us at support@entityai.dev. Entity AI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or provided by any school or school district. Your school did not sign you up and does not control your account. Connecting a school account is your own choice.

3. Age

You must be 13 or older to use Entity AI. We ask for your birth year before your first message, whether or not you have an account. If you are 13 to 17, a parent or guardian must know that you use Entity AI, and you confirm that when you start. If you tell us you are under 13, you can't use Entity AI and we don't create an account. If an account belongs to someone under 13, we close it and delete it, as our Privacy Policy explains.

4. Your account

Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else got into it. We may suspend or close accounts that give false information, break these Terms, or put Entity AI, other people or other users at risk.

5. Plans, billing and canceling

Some features need a paid plan. Pro costs $20 a month and Ultimate $50 a month, unless the app shows you a different price when you buy. You pay through our payment processor, Stripe, on our website - not through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The iPhone app does not sell plans itself; where it offers an upgrade, it opens our website in your browser.

Automatic renewal

Paid plans renew automatically every month until you cancel. When you subscribe, you let us (through Stripe) charge the payment method you choose at the start of each monthly period.

Free trial

Pro may start with a 2-day free trial. You add a card to start it. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your Pro subscription starts when it ends and $20 is charged automatically each month until you cancel. If you choose Start Pro now, the trial ends and you are charged right away. Each person gets one free trial.

Canceling

You can cancel at any time: choose Manage billing on the Plans screen, which opens Stripe's billing page. Canceling stops future charges, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your account cancels your subscription right away.

Price changes

If we change the price of your plan, we tell you before it applies to you. The new price starts at a renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before then if you don't want to pay it.

Extra usage packs

On Pro and Ultimate you can buy a one-time extra usage pack. A pack is not a subscription and never renews. It is used only after your plan's monthly allowance runs out, and whatever is left of it expires 90 days after you buy it. You can buy up to $20 of packs in any 30 days.

If you are under 18

You need a parent's or guardian's permission before you buy a plan or a pack.

Refunds

Canceling stops the next renewal, but we don't refund the part of a month you already paid for (that includes a trial that has turned into a paid month). Extra usage packs can't be refunded once bought. If you were charged twice or by mistake - for example, after you canceled, or for a pack that couldn't be added to your account - email support@entityai.dev and we will refund that charge. We also give refunds wherever the law requires them.

6. Schoolwork and your school's AI rules

Entity AI can help you learn, study and plan. It can also help you draft work - for example, writing a first draft, filling in a template like a fitness log, or making notes and slides. Writing Mode (Pro) writes drafts in a natural voice at the reading level you choose: it can use a sample of what you have typed so the draft sounds like you, and it checks how AI-written a draft sounds and rewrites it until it reads naturally. A draft that sounds natural is still AI-written. Many teachers and schools have rules about when AI may be used. You are responsible for knowing and following your teacher's and your school's rules about AI, including whether you may use Entity AI (or Writing Mode) for an assignment, whether you have to say that you used it, and never using it during a test or quiz where outside help isn't allowed. Entity AI never turns in work for you: you decide what to hand in, and you hand it in yourself. What you hand in is your responsibility. We may suspend accounts that use Entity AI to cheat.

7. Acceptable use

Don't use Entity AI to break the law; to bully, harass or harm anyone; to make or share content that is illegal, fraudulent or violates other people's rights; to get into accounts or systems you aren't allowed into; to disrupt Entity AI; or to copy Entity AI to build a competing product. We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

8. AI answers can be wrong

Entity AI's answers, summaries, images and documents are made by AI models from other companies and by our own software. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Don't rely on them for medical, legal, money or safety decisions. Check anything important yourself before you use it, including anything you turn in for school.

9. Your content

You own what you put into Entity AI (your messages, files and other material). You let us store and use it only as needed to run Entity AI for you and to fix it, which includes sending it to the providers described in our Privacy Policy. Only upload or share things you have the right to use. Entity AI and its software, design and name belong to us.

We respect other people's copyright. If you believe something shared through Entity AI (for example, a public share link or a study set) copies your work without permission, send us a notice that includes: your name and contact details; the work you say was copied; the link to the material; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't allowed by the owner, its agent or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or allowed to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. Send the notice to support@entityai.dev. If we remove something you shared because of a notice, we tell you, and you may send a counter-notice. We close the accounts of people who infringe again and again.

11. Other services we rely on

Entity AI works with other companies: AI model providers (Anthropic and OpenAI), speech and transcription providers (AssemblyAI and Microsoft Azure), a web search provider (Tavily), an email delivery provider (Resend), a payment processor (Stripe), our hosting provider (Render) and Cloudflare, the school systems you connect, and Google and Apple (for sign-in, Google Classroom, Google Docs and Slides, and iPhone notifications). Our Privacy Policy lists all of them. When you use a feature that one of them powers, their own terms apply too. Some of them may use what we send them to improve their own services, under their own terms. We are not responsible for what those companies do.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using Entity AI and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if we believe you broke these Terms, if keeping it open puts us at legal risk, or if we stop offering Entity AI. Parts of these Terms that should keep applying after an account ends (like sections 5, 8, 9 and 13) still apply.

13. Disclaimers and limits on our liability

Entity AI is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including warranties that it is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Entity AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, income or profits, that come from using Entity AI. Our total liability for any claim about Entity AI is no more than what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about these Terms or Entity AI will be handled only in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, and you agree to those courts' jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

When we change these Terms in a way that matters, we update the version and date at the top and ask you to agree again in the app before you keep using it. We record which version you agreed to and when.
